Elizabeth Suárez

A Puerto Rican native, Elizabeth is an expert at offering a strong blend of multicultural understanding and strategic marketing while judiciously analyzing the overall situation. She is a conflict resolution, negotiation and inclusiveness strategist and a Professor at University of Denver. Elizabeth has over 20 years experience in the management ranks of Corporate America and the entrepreneurial field.
Elizabeth earned a BS in Chemical Engineering from Cornell University and an MBA from The Wharton School of Business, University of Pennsylvania. In addition, she completed the Executive Management Program at the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University and is a graduate of the prestigious National Hispana Leadership Institute (NHLI) program, as well as the Center for Creative Leadership and Leadership Denver.
During the past three years she has acted as a Senior Consultant for Webb PR. In this role, she has been instrumental in providing strategic lead and direction associated with the Hispanic DUI campaign, Toma Control, ˇVive!. She was the subject matter expert and spokesperson for the Summer 2008 DUI outreach component of the campaign. Her contributions have made significant inroads to effectively reach the target population, Spanish-dominant Latinos.
A master strategist, Elizabeth immerses herself in the mindset of each client, helping them in the creation of effective marketing plans that educate and influence target populations. She is a gifted facilitator and bilingual mediator providing an amicable environment where difficult issues can be successfully addressed and solved. Elizabeth is extremely proficient in conducting focus group moderation in Spanish, English, or bilingually. She complements her language skills with a strong understanding of the Hispanic culture. For the past few years, Elizabeth has been considered an inclusiveness and conflict resolution expert that provides invaluable guidance and advice.
Elizabeth is passionate about giving back to the community. She currently serves on the Executive Team for the Girls Inc. Board and sits on the boards of Circle of Latina Leadership and The Women’s College, University of Denver – Leadership Studies Advisory Board. She has spent many memorable years mentoring the Hispanic youth of the area via her association with some local area high schools as well as Junior Achievement.
Elizabeth was a recipient of the 2007 “Be Bold” Award from the Colorado’s Women Foundation. In 2006 she was granted the “Woman of Achievement” Award from the Women in Communication Association’s Denver Chapter. In 2005 Hispanic Magazine recognized her as one of the nation’s Top Latinas in the “Business-Entrepreneur” category. She was also named on the “2004 Top Latinas” list featured in Latina Style Magazine.
