Ed Sardella

Denver knows Ed Sardella. He anchored KUSA-TV's 9News, award-winning
evening newscasts in the Mile High City for most of 30 years.
Sardella now uses his news savvy to media train Webb PR clients. Using well-tested techniques, Sardella and Webb PR help clients understand interview techniques, calculated responses and open communication for print and oncamera interviews.
Ed anchored the news at KUSA-TV from 1974, until his retirement. During virtually all of his years with KUSA, Nine News was the market leader in viewer ratings.
His hard work and dedication earned him numerous accolades over the years including Colorado Broadcaster of the Year and Journalist of the Year. He won a number of Emmy awards for excellence in news, and, in recognition of his career achievement, he was inducted into the Denver Press Club Hall of Fame and the National Association of Television Arts and Sciences Heartland Chapter's Silver Circle. On its 50th anniversary, 9 News presented him one of two half-century awards in recognition of his contribution to KUSA's success.
A 1962 graduate of Occidental College in Los Angeles, Sardella holds a BA in Speech Arts. He spent a portion of his four years of study in the Broadcasting Department at San Diego State University. After graduation, he served as a Communications Officer in the US Marine Corps.
He taught news reporting and writing in the School of Journalism at the University of Colorado for many years and he led numerous seminars and workshops for the American Medical Association and in newsrooms across the country.
He now hosts a monthly interview show on government television channel 8's in the Denver area and a weekly radio program on the law and lawyers on behalf of a nationally-recognized law firm in Denver.
