Webb PR is generating buzz with its iPhone app “R-U-Buzzed?” a BAC Calculator. It was developed for the Colorado Department of Transportation’s DUI 2009 Holiday Safety Campaigns. Appealing to the target audience of men ages 18-34, and a secondary audience of holiday party-goers, downloads went through the roof. Statewide media attention and national hits in USA Today and the Wall Street Journal drove more than 100,000 downloads before the New Year’s hangover was gone. Most importantly, alcohol-related fatalities dropped 25%. The app now has more than 160,000 plus downloads to date!
