NEW MEDIA
The face of media relations is changing, but the concepts remain the same. Bloggers, just like reporters, are all looking for a story, product or concept that directly affects their readers. The “new” in new media is more about how we get our news, how opinions are formed, and how we connect with the world around us. In many cases the media “middle man” is being eliminated. Many PR agencies boast their knowledge of and experience with new media, and to be sure, our client work consistently requires social networking and viral campaigns, day-to-day communication with bloggers, and public education campaigns driven by instant and direct outreach. But rather than throwing around the latest new media buzz terms, we like to let our work speak for itself. Every campaign is different. Some work better through traditional media outreach, some call for new media, and many require a mix of both. Rest assured, we’re capable of handling all of the above. |
